In a Nutshell

Let's see, it's been nearly 18 months since I last posted on this blog.  What has happened since November of 2011?  In a nutshell:

  1. We visited Scott's parents in Hawaii.
  2. We sold our house in Brunswick and moved into a rental home.
  3. I kicked cancer's ass.  Details about that journey are located here on my CaringBridge site
  4. We went to the Olympics.
  5. We opted to buy instead of build a home.
  6. We took a trip to the Phoenix area for our friends' wedding.
  7. We closed on our new home in Hinckley the day a major hurricane hit the region (yes, in Cleveland!), but luckily the aftermath did not impact my cancer surgery scheduled for the next day.  We moved in 10 days later.
  8. We put our land on the market and continue to pray to St. Joseph for a favorable outcome. If we don't get an offer soon, we might resort to St. Jude!
  9. I have been hired as an adjunct professor at Baldwin Wallace University to teach a course in Business Communications this fall, but I'll be keeping my "day job" as the Director of MedTrack at Padua Franciscan High School.
  10. We are planning a trip to Norway to see the Northern Lights over the new year in honor of our 10-year anniversary in 2014.
Now that the whole "cancer thing" seems to have settled down, I do want to use this blog as a forum to write.  So hopefully you will see more posts in the coming weeks.

Until then, thanks for reading and for all of your support along the way.
